Clem Balfour founder of Yoga Brunch Club together with owner of Hummusapiens: Jasper Weinstein Sheffield, invite you to join them for a relaxing morning of yoga and brunch at the calming and beautiful space at The Forge.

The day will start with an energising and restoring morning flow practice to wake up our bodies, led by Bristol based yoga teacher Elena Byers, Elena’s classes are playful and intuitive, teaching with a wonderful infectious energy. After yoga we will be treated to a 3-course nourishing plant based feast prepared by Jasper founder of Hummusapiens. As Jasper describes, hummusapiens is completely plant-based, there’s no meat, no dairy, no egg. ‘However my passion is making sure that there are still huge and exciting flavours present and that no one should ever feel short-changed by choosing a vegetarian or vegan option on a menu. I feel it is also important to make food accessible so at least half of my menu is always gluten-free. I want to sit smack-bang in the middle of the clean-eating vegan lifestyle and the vegan junk-food scene that has recently exploded in Bristol.’

The Yoga Brunch Club was founded by Clem Balfour over four years ago. The idea came from a combination of her great passions yoga and food, on a mission to make yoga more accessible the Yoga Brunch Club was launched. These run monthly in London and Bristol, with a few Yoga Supper Club's and retreats also added into the mix.

This will be an all levels hatha flow class. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged, and for the more advanced yogis there will always be options to deepen any pose. Expect a relaxing and nourishing morning, which is going to set you up for the rest of the day.

Ticket includes:

  • 75mins Yoga

  • 3-course brunch

HUMMUSAPIENS

Jasper Weinstein Sheffield is founder and owner of Hummusapiens. Jasper describes his food as completely plant-based, there’s no meat, no dairy, no egg. However my passion is making sure that there are still huge and exciting flavours present and that no one should ever feel short-changed by choosing a vegetarian or vegan option on a menu. I feel it is also important to make food accessible so at least half of my menu is always gluten-free. I want to sit smack-bang in the middle of the clean-eating vegan lifestyle and the vegan junk-food scene that has recently exploded in Bristol. For hummusapiens, that means things like Avocado and Vegan Chorizo Brioches sitting alongside Lebanese Jackfruit wraps and our signature Bowls, all brimming with fresh salads, toasted seeds and brightly coloured pickles. Oh and hummus, everything with hummus…

ELENA BYERS

Much of Elena’s life has been spent training in the creative body. Diverse years studying movement, performance, singing and visual arts furthering her fascination with the body’s ability to creatively express, yoga being elemental in that journey so far. It brings her to a place of deep understanding of physical anatomy, and an appreciation for the beautiful way different bodies move. And as a teacher, this means you can always expect playfulness & patience in her classes. Yoga for Elena is the coming together of creative spirit, strong body and open mind, to feel fully alive.

As well as public classes, she teaches internationally at festivals & works passionately with local groups and schools to bring yoga and arts practices to more isolated communities. The root of her desire to teach and build yoga 'union' through community.
