Yoga Brunch Club and Alex Head, founder of the Social Pantry are partnering up to welcome in the New Year with a relaxing morning of yoga and great food at the beautiful calming space at 42 Acres in Shoreditch.

Enjoy a energising morning yoga session led by Lululemon ambassador and yoga teacher Katy Bateman. Katy's classes are creative, playful and dynamic, teaching with a wonderful infectious energy. Post yoga guests will tuck into a 3-course nourishing winter feast cooked up by Alex Head, founder of the Social Pantry, a London based event and catering company with a fun little café on Lavender Hill in Battersea – best known for its hit-the-spot brunches and sell out supper club evenings.

The Yoga Brunch Club was founded by Clem Balfour in 2014. The idea came from a combination of her great passions yoga and food, on a mission to make yoga more accessible the Yoga Brunch Club was launched.

This will be an all levels vinyasa flow class. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged, and for the more advanced yogis there will always be options to deepen any pose.

ALEX HEAD “It all started in Saudia Arabia.'

When I was 14 years old, I did my very best to avoid school homework and instead, decided that my time would be much better spent trying to make some pocket money. So, I started my first business at the age of 15, selling sandwiches from the back of my bike (named Billy) in Saudi Arabia.

Fast forward a few years, with a stint in-between at Ballymaloe and time spent at Uni, I now own and run Social Pantry, a London based event and corporate contract catering with a fun little café on Lavender Hill in Battersea – best known for its hit-the-spot brunches and sell out supper club evenings!

Social Pantry is an events and corporate contract catering company with a focus of Fresh, Seasonal and Delicious food, served with style. With a dedicated team of experienced chefs, event planners and waiting staff, Social Pantry has become the go-to London caterer for bespoke events, weddings and contract services.”

KATY BATEMAN'S classes are creative, playful and dynamic. Using the principles of Anusara Yoga, she emphasises proper use of breath and alignment to encourage a safe and playful practice. Katy's teaching inspires connection so expect some fun partner work to take your practice deeper.

Like many yogis, Katy initially started practising as a means of exercise, and to find a place to escape the hustle and bustle of living in a busy city – but very quickly fell in love with the feelings of balance, strength and serenity yoga instills.

Katy is blessed to have studied with many wonderful teachers. Through her practice, Katy has learned to be more spiritually and emotionally in tune with herself, and the world around her.

All yoga mats and props will be provided. Please give details of any allergies when booking.

Please note tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
