Yoga Brunch Club and Gopal's Curry Shack are partnering up for a unique collaboration in Bristol with a relaxing morning of yoga and great food at the beautiful space at The Forge.

Enjoy a energising vinyasa flow yoga session led by Clem Balfour, Yoga Brunch Club founder.  Post yoga guests will tuck into a 3-course nourishing winter feast cooked up by Heather & Mel, Gopal's Curry Shack founders.  This wonderful pair started cooking together in 2011 when they started a Supper Club, this quickly turned into a popular street food stall and now has become a permanent restaurant in a shipping container at Cargo 2. They are both united in their passion for good food and love of Indian flavours and spices, Gopal’s ethical principles are evident in all aspects of their business. Their ingredients and menu reflect the best of the British seasons and are guaranteed to  burst with freshness and flavour.

The Yoga Brunch Club was founded by Clem Balfour in 2014. The idea came from a combination of her great loves, bringing people together with yoga, music and a lovely sit-down family style meal.

This will be an all levels vinyasa flow class. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged, and for the more advanced yogis there will always be options to deepen any pose.

Gopal's Curry Shack

Heather and Mel founded Gopal's Curry Shack in 2011, initially starting out as an independent mobile street food business serving creative, colourful & vibrant vegetarian and vegan Indian inspired street food.  Named recently in B24/7 as one of Bristol's Top Ten favourite vegetarian and vegan restaurants

Popping up at markets, events and local establishments with their unique & seasonal take on Indian street food for the last three-and-a-half years. They decided to take the plunge and set up their first permanent home for Gopal's Curry Shack in one of a number of shipping containers on Wapping Wharf at the new Cargo 2 development - an exciting hub of small independent shops, restaurants & bars. Gopal's entirely vegetarian menu, sole use of local, organic produce, and emphasis on recyclable materials, ensures their ethical principles are evident in all aspects of their business.  Love and principles also shine through in the food’s stunning flavours and delicate spices. Crispy spinach and sweet potato pakoras, piquant vegetable curries, sweet mango lassi, beetroot samosas, and spicy chai brownies will leave your mind boggled about where to start on this incredible menu.

Clem is an adventurous  fun, open Yogini who found Yoga over a decade ago.

Clem teaches an ever-changing sequence inspired by vinyasa flow (aligning breath and movement), which allows her to respond to the energy in the room. Her classes are often set to a uplifting playlist, combining elements of Yin and Yang, to help balance out your energy and allow you to experience the effects of Yoga for your body and your mind.

As a passionate foodie Clem, launched the Yoga Brunch Club in 2014.  Running as popular monthly events in London and Bristol combining a delicious mix of relaxing yoga followed by nourishing food. With past collaborations with Liberty London, The Guardian and The Soil Association and Wilderness Festival. The aim is to create a space for people to relax and not take themselves too seriously, even if you are a total beginner or have been practicing for years.
